I've just seen the best idea in the whole world - Random Reads, hosted by I'm Loving Books.
The idea is to read one book, picked completely at random, off your TBR shelf. This is absolutely brilliant for me, as I have a huge TBR that never seems to go down and it doesn't help that I have so many review books waiting to be read!
Want to join in?
It’s easy…
- If you’re on Goodreads enable sorting to your to-read shelf (you should see numbers next to each book now).
- Go to Random.org and type in the Min as 1 and the Max as how many ever books are on your to-read shelf.
- Scroll down to the book matching the number Random.org picks.
- Link up to your Random Reads post (below).
- Read and be merry.
If you’re not on Goodreads just pick a random book from your list in whatever way you want to do it. You can use the method I used above or even just close your eyes and point randomly at a book on your bookshelf if you want (spin the bottle style).
So the fates have spoken - this month I'll be reading The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Vol. 2. I bought this at a Comic Convention right after my birthday last year. August 7th apparently. This is a good choice actually - I haven't actually read any graphic novels this year yet :)
Ooh, I want to play!! After I'm done reading my library book that I really need to take back, I'm so totally doing this.
ReplyDeleteClose call for you on 'Fallen' though - your fatalism nearly bought you a few days of teen angst and chauvinistic "love"! Fate must love you more than that.
Great spot, as always!
Haha, I don't think I'll ever forget your scathing review of Fallen :) Although I'm POSITIVE it can't beat the one I'm reading at the minute for melodrama and angst. Seriously, it should come with a knife so you can join in on the self-hatred.
DeleteThanks for joining in Hanna! I haven't really gotten into reading graphic novels but I did like this one's movie! :) I hope you enjoy it and the meme helps to cut into your pile a bit! ;)
