League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Challenge Wrap-Up

I just can't believe this challenge is over already. The way I see it, it doesn't matter if you completed it or not - if you read just one of these books that you wouldn't have anyway, it was a success.

A HUGE thank you to everybody that joined in, as I had a great time reading the reviews and looking at different takes on the same works.

Organised by character, these are the completed books.

Allan Quatermain - King Solomon's Mines

Howling Frog Books
Book World In My Head
The Book Stop
Musings of a Bookshop Girl
Come, Sit by the Hearth
Booking in Heels (me!)

Mina Harker - Dracula

Lit Addicted Brit
Howling Frog Books

James Moriarty - The Final Problem

Boekenwijs (in Swedish?)

I just can't believe everybody's doing so well!

Completed
Three people finished! A full three people! I only got to four myself, but as it's doubtful I'd have read them were it not for this challenge, I'm happy with that.
Have a great New Year everybody!

  1. Boekenwijs read it in English too I think, but her blog is Dutch ;D

I watched the movie this year! And bought The Picture of Dorian Gray. He is totally my favourite character of the movie (:

Glad to hear the challenge was a success!

  2. I had a ton of fun with this challenge and I would never have read most of those books without it. Thanks so much for hosting--it was great!

  3. Aw, you credited my Phantom of the Opera reading! It's things like that that make me love you!

I did keep meaning to read more but...well...*ahem*

Good effort on the hosting - I'd never have the proper organisation to actually ORGANISE a challenge! So yey for you indeed :)

  4. What a fun challenge! I never tried a challenge, but I love the book choices associated to the characters here.

  5. I was frickin' useless with this challenge. I mean, I even failed to reread my favouritest book, which is crazy! BUT, and this is a big BUT (and I cannot lie) - I doubt very much that I would have picked up King Solomon's Mines OR The Invisible Man without this challenge, so I'm very grateful because as you know, KSM turned out to be one of my favourites of 2012. So I thank you heartily for the gentle push, even though I was crap at the rest! ;)
