Awesome day, despite lack of reading.
I'm so tired right now that I pretty much want to curl into a ball and hibernate for the Winter, but I've had an awesome day. The project I've been working on forever, where we demonstrate the court process to school children, finally came together today and our first event went very successfully.
I had to give a speech to a room full of people that I hadn't prepared for, but managed to pull off, and then the trial itself went well too. Nobody forgot their rules or their stories and the children seemed engaged and entertained. The supervisors all congratulated me and I think everybody had a good time.
So, there was that, plus a Civil Litigation class, plus the preparation for the afore-mentioned class... yeah, not much reading. In fact, the only reading I got done today was between the hours of 1 and 3am (151 pages). Clearly I'm not a natural sleeper. I'm too tired to read anymore today but considering how happy I am, I don't mind.
LATER - Actually, I did get a little more done. It was time I should have spent studying/planning tomorrow's meeting, but I was so tired that it just wasn't going to happen. Teenage zombie book it is :D

ReplyDeleteAnd MAAAAN stop pretending you haven't been reading like a fiend. I've read, like, 60 pages in two days. AND ONE OF THOSE DAYS I HAVE BEEN OFF. It's a good job my next read is Harry Potter, so I know I can knock that one off in a day, it being awesome and all that... I REALLY need to stay off the internet tomorrow and just read already! ;)
Oh Ellie, if you could only see me now! You may have to revise your 'super-cool' opinion :p I'm wearing Paddington pyjamas and I've been in bed since 8pm. Although I am currently planning out TOMORROW'S meeting, so can I keep the efficient label please? :D
DeleteI have read a little more, it's true. But it's YA and it's interesting, so it's not really difficult.
I've been wearing bright red Scotty dog pyjamas (which is probably a faux pas with cats around) and ALSO have a habit of getting into bed at 8pm. As long as you're still reading or watching telly or... planning a meeting *cough* or something it totally doesn't count though, right? *reclines across her pillows like a really badly dressed hussy*
