Bout of Books 6.0 Master Post

It's that time again! Unfortunately this year it's fallen on a not so amazing time for me - this is the week I start back at Law school after Christmas and since they've worked from the theory that we've had weeks to work, there is A LOT of work due in. It's also the week the pro bono projects that I run kick off. All in all, not so amazing.

Still I'll do my best! This is the post I'll be updating throughout the week, although each day will have a separate post. Ideally, anyway. We'll see how that goes.

Goals

Honestly, I haven't really thought that far ahead. I finished my current book, Death Comes to Pemberley, yesterday so I can start with a clean slate and maybe get some reading done.

I don't really know what I'm going to be reading yet, but I'm going to aim for three books, possibly out of the following.

But then again, possibly not.

I'd also like to review at least four books because I'm very, very behind at the minute.

  1. I really really want to read the Philip Pullman Brothers Grimm book (let's ignore the fact that I still have the Annotated Bicentennial Edition of the Brothers Grimm sat on the chair opposite me waiting to be finished, shall we?) :-p You must let me know how it is if and when you read it! :-)

  2. Ooh, read This Is Not A Test! It is a SUPER read-a-thon book. Super! I think I might have moaned a bit in my review but it's really addictive stuff and had more than one bit where I actually did a nerdy gasp at the book.

Also I'm pretty sure I've rambled about Shutter Island on your blog before so I won't again but I WILL say that I selfishly want you to read it and then tell me that it's amazing so that I have an "excuse" to go and buy it even though I seen the film and therefore know what is going to happen and will have Leonardo di Caprio's face in my head for the entire duration of my reading it.

    1. Hmm. That's not a bad idea actually. I only put it up there because it was a book directly in my line of vision and I only had 12 minutes before class to write this post... Clearly, I am THAT busy that I organise my day by 12 minute chunks :s

Anyway, I may just have latched on to the idea of reading it. Go you!

I think I'd have Leonardo di Caprio's face in my head anyway, and I HAVEN'T seen the film. His face is on the cover though...
