Right Now I'm...

What can I say, I'm feeling self-important.

Listening to: Nada. I'm not really a noise person. I can happily sit here and be perfectly peaceful in complete silence.

Reading:  Well, I was reading The Enchantment Emporium by Tanya Huff but I gave up on that about midnight last night and I've picked Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury off the shelf this morning. I've only read a page so far, but I'm motivated by my mother's reaction to seeing it in my hand.

I only have 13 books to go before completing my 300 Books before January Challenge, so I'm more than on track. I've also been quite good at reading the books from the older end of the TBR shelf so I'm feeling pretty smug, thank you very much.

Wearing: Well this is mildly creepy. However, since you asked, I'm wearing a cream dress with birds on and black leggings. Why you asked, I have no idea.

Eating: Umm. Feeling quite sick today, so I've only had a cup of tea... which I then threw up. I went to Alton Towers with my friends on Tuesday and I haven't quite recovered from the inevitable exhaustion yet. Worth it though :)

Watching: Uhh, come on. I never have an answer for this question. I was vaguely toying with the idea of watching something book-related this afternoon (Silver Linings Playbook, maybe) but we all know it's not going to happen.

Planning: Lots of things, because I am an organisational freak. I've decide to run the Communicator Badge with my Cub Pack next week, so I'm going to sort out the activities and decide what materials I need for it to run.

I'm also going to schedule the War & Peace Read-a-long that's going to happen in February 2015. We're going to read it over ten weeks so that there's time to read other books alongside - because I know I'd go crazy if I was only allowed to read a Russian classic for two months!

Let's see... the Halloween Ninja Book Swap is drawing to a close, so Bex and I have been busy chasing up packages and adding new photos to the gallery.

I've also written a blog post that I've scheduled for Tuesday and replied to five e-mails wanting me to be in five different places next week.

Feeling: Ill and hurty, but content. And mildly overwhelmed. I've taken on far too many projects and responsibilities, even for me, but I've managed to keep my head above water so far.

Loving: Not reading The Enchantment Emporium anymore? I'm also rather pleased about the temperature so far, considering I've been getting away with light tights and short-sleeved cardigans. I'm not really a fan of long sleeves or jeans, so I'm going to hold out as long as I possibly can!
Wanting: Some crumpets and a nap.

Thinking: About the next review I need to write, which is The Rabbit Back Literature Society by Pasi Ilmari Jääskeläinen. I really enjoyed it; just had a few issues with the ending.

I was also looking into going to work abroad for a few months. I did half a year each in both Spain and Germany when I was younger, but in the more touristy areas. Now I'm older I could probably go and actually work in a Real Job, but we'll see.

I'm also thinking about the logistal implications of opening a new branch of the advice centre where I work. I've volunteered to go help set it up but didn't have all the information at the time, so now I'm just slightly confused about how it's going to work.

Looking forward to: This weekend being over? I hate weekends. I like having places to go, people to organise and appointments to attend and it drives me mad when I have to just sit at home and twiddle my thumbs. I'm a very restless person!
More specifically, I'm looking forward to going to Cubs (it's been half-term so we've been on a break), looking at the new advice branch, going to a Housing Law conference on Thursday and faffing about in the office on Friday.

Since I assume you're all slightly less irritable than me today... what are you up to this rainy Saturday?
