Apologies for the lateness of this post. If you've paid attention to my whining about my cancelled book shopping trip this weekend, you'll know why.
Half way through! As tedious as Moby Dick occasionally seems, it does seem to be going quite quickly, doesn't it? It helps that the chapters are short but I am actually interested in the overall story (minus the rambling) and I do want to know what happens.
Prompty prompt prompt:
1) Sooooooo, apparently Captain Ahab snuck a load of Chinese men on board his boat. Discuss.
2) Does it seem odd to you that we've not even seen a bloody whale yet?
3) Which of the more abstract chapters have you found the most interesting? The biblical allusions, the symbol of the colour white, Famous Whales You May Have Known?
4) Why do you think the narrator is so concerned that his readers have an accurate and scientific-ish depiction of whales?
